Belinha S. De Abreu, PhD, is an international Media Literacy Educator. Her work was featured in UNESCO, the Journal of Media Literacy, and in the Civic Media Project. She serves as vice president for the National Telemedia Council and is on the leadership council for the National Association for Media Literacy Education. Kathleen Smith, LMS  is the School Library Media Specialist at Ledyard High School. She has worked in Ledyard, Connecticut for over 20 years working as the SLMS at the elementary level and at the middle school level as well. She reflects on her practice and shares lessons at Read.
